ShadeLab senior undergraduate researcher Justine Miller presented her poster at the Michigan State University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF)! Justine's research investigates molecular mechanisms of soil microbial arsenic resistance in soils impacted by coal combustion. Justine is mentored by Microbiology/Environmental Toxicology graduate student Taylor Dunivin.
This year's forum was the largest in Michigan State history, and here are some reported factoids about UURAF 2016: · 875 students from 14 colleges presented 665 programs · Students presented 120 oral presentations and 545 poster presentations · 525 research mentors from 16 colleges worked with student researchers · 108 faculty judges evaluated the programs · 115 graduate students provided feedback to students
Congratulations, Justine, on a poster well done!
