Pilot bean seed stress experiment accepted at Microbiology Spectrum

We're pleased to announce that a match has been made with our pilot experiment data that observed that the endophytic seed microbiome is altered after parental plant is exposed to abiotic treatment (water with-holding/excess nutrients) and the Microbiology Spectrum journal from the American Society for Microbiology! Thanks to prior ShadeLab postdoc Patrick Kearns for making the original observation, and to ShadeLab PhD students Fina Bintarti and Abby Sulesky for their persistence in following it up! This work is supported by our ongoing USDA award and we now have multiple generations of data from a scaled experiment - stay tuned for the next chapter, and we will update when the manuscript is officially available from the journal.
