We are grateful to the Great Lakes BioEnergy Research Center for support of a 1-year seed project to investigate the dynamics and diversity of switchgrass and miscanthus phyllosphere microbiota. The study is affiliated with the Michigan State University Sustainability focus on agro-ecosystem best-practises for growing bioenergy crops. The study will involve field work at the Kellogg Biological Station's Biofuel Cropping System Experiment sites.
