Planning for ASM Microbe2017

Ashley traveled to Washington DC this weekend to join other members of the planning committee for the American Society for Microbiology Microbe2017 meeting, to be held 1-5 June 1-5 2017 New Orleans.

The planning committee's mission was to develop interdisciplinary plenaries and symposia for the meeting, as well as professional development sessions, workshops, and track hubs. The committee reviewed symposium and topic submissions from the membership, shared what's new and exciting in their fields with the larger group, and worked together to develop cross-cutting sessions. Ashley joined the "Ecology and Evolutionary Science" track team.
