ShadeLab grad student Jackson Sorensen presented at the very first Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Work in Progress Seminar (WiPS) of the new academic year!
He presented an update about Centralia soil microbial metagenome and 16S rRNA gene diversity, mechanisms of community assembly along the coal fire chronosequence, and about steps we're taking to understand the roles of diversification and seed bank transitions to community dynamics in Centralia.
Way to go, Jackson!
