Michigan State's Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research (ICER) received a grant to support team-based REU training in computational research (REU: iCER-ACRES), and they’ve reached out to Ashley and the ShadeLab to mentor an REU team!
ShadeLab will host 2-3 undergrads who will train and conduct research projects in bioinformatics next summer (2017). They will be working on microbial metagenome data, mentored closely by our lab and by the excellent computer programmers and bioinformaticists at iCER. Click on the iCER-ACRES link to learn more about the program, requirements, and application deadlines.
This is going to be so much fun! We are excited to host iCER-ACRES REUs this summer!
