Welcome summer undergrads!
ShadeLab welcomes Maria, Blake, and Karly for summer research!
Maria Nunez is a microbiology major from Wagner College, RI. She joins us through the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center's Summer Undergraduate Research Program. She will be working on microbial interactions in the phyllosphere (leaf surfaces) of the biofuel crop switchgrass. Blake Bezemek is a Professorial Assistant who is continuing on this summer on his work on plant metabolomics over time and during stress. Karly Krugger is a new undergraduate researcher who joined us to work on a project to assess the biogeography of core microbiome members in the phyllosphere.
