Congrats to John Chodkowski, Ph.D.!
We are SO PROUD of Dr. John Chodkowski, a newly minted Ph.D. from the MSU Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and the ShadeLab.
John defended his dissertation, "Ecological and Evolutionary Consequences of Exometabolites for Microbial Interactions" on July 1st 2021. He has already published two chapters, and has two additional chapters in preparation!
John aspires to a career in industry, and is staying on with ShadeLab on a new project to understand soil microbiome responses to biocement application.
Because John has a history in hobby bee-keeping, he chose a bee-themed piñata for his celebration.
